Introduction
Chetana Nepal (CN) is a non
governmental, non profit making, non
political, independent and autonomous
social organization. Chetana Nepal (CN)
is a child focused organization works
with/ for most disadvantage children of
Nepal for their rights and welfare. In Nepal, a responsible,
accountable and credible civil
society organization driven by the need
of the most disadvantage / under privileged has a
big potential for making wider impact
from grass roots to the national levels.
Keeping these facts in mind, a group of
sound minded socially motivated people
established Chetana Nepal (CN) as per
the Institution Registration Act 1986 (
Regd. No. 1972). Chetana Nepal is
committed to provide an opportunity for
the poor, needy, socially dominated,
street children & above all the orphans.
It looks for a way to make them skilled
by identifying their interest and skill
to become self dependent and also an
able citizen who can lead a dignified
life.
Chetana Nepal (CN) works directly with
children at risk for their rescue,
support, socialization, rehabilitation
and also social re-integration. Chetana
Nepal (CN) members aspired to raise the
issue of child labor and child rights to
the broader social movement for freedom,
peace and equality. Its dedication
started since 2004 to provide health
service and equality education for the
needy children in a peaceful
environment. Though the government has
envisaged a policy of "Education for
All", it has not been able face
challenges like increase primary school
enrollment, decrease high dropout rate
of the children recruitment of
sufficient teachers in school and
improvement of infrastructures of the
rural schools. But how is it possible
for a parentless child who has no
shelter, food and clothes to go to
school? The government has not provided
a separate home for them.
The welfare of abandoned children is not
only an issue in Nepal, but also a
global issue, we strongly believe that
we need to look back at the roots of
this dilemma, in order to achieve our
goals. With this vision and message to
all Chetana Nepal (CN) requests that
everyone unite together to work towards
a better future for the world.
