How Chetana Nepal works
Chetana Nepal (CN) isn't fixed to any
specific geographical region of Nepal.
However, CN has chosen Kaski District
and other neighboring district as its
working area. At first, Chetana Nepal
fixed the area, identify the needy
children and select them by the members
of organization with the co-ordination
of local people. Selected children would
be brought to its home and looked after
their accommodation, education, health
and various kinds of training and
activities.
From 2008 onwards, Chetana
Nepal (CN) is planning to form "Village
Scholarship Program" in each school. The
committee constitutes of four members -
Student Representative, Guardian
Representative, School Representative
and social worker. The committee will be
the prime body to monitor the impact of
the program and administer the
scholarship to the students, we stay
small and flexible. Our programs are
carried out in Nepal by a highly
qualified Nepalese staff. In Nepal, we
work closely with local non governmental
organization (NGOs), communities,
families and of course, lots of kids-who
astonish us everyday with their ability
to overcome their difficult past.
